I suppose this is what they mean by "hiatus."
Geographical challenges = very little action in West Marginals-land.
We played a couple shows as a trio in 2005: Friday, September 23 at 9 lb. Hammer and Thursday, September 29 at Lottie's Lounge.
Since then, we've worked on some recordings, and in Jeb's absence, Trisha and Linda have appeared here and there around town, sneaking onto stages and playing this song and that. We hope to schedule some full-on shows sometime soon. Because we miss YOU.
Downloadable tracks are here! Knock yourself out. And thanks, Ray, for getting the tracks all ship-shape.
You can still sign up for our mailing list , too -- there clearly has been no need to worry about us hitting you with too many messages. Though we may start again someday. You never know.
Photos! Thanks to a couple pals, we have some photos posted from our first 9 lb Hammer show and from Folklife.
Where it stands with the band: So far, we've played a bunch of shows, recorded a six-song demo and begun production of our first full-length recording. We love to play live, so keep your eye on this space for scheduled appearances. If you like, you can sign up for our email list, and we'll holler at you when we've got something to report.
Feel free to holler at us first: band at westmarginals dot com.
The deal with our email list: We haven't sent a message in over a year. At the height of activity, we
don't expect to write to you more often than once a month. Also, we will NOT share your info with ANYONE, no matter how much money or fame or free ice cream they offer us.
If you sign up we'll let you know about upcoming shows so you can come see us. 'Cause we'd love to see YOU.
